About Our Services

Massage

Relaxation massage (also known as Swedish massage) is manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, lymph, tendons and ligaments) which can help to reduce stress and anxiety, relax muscles, rehabilitate injuries, reduce pain, improve circulation and flexibility, and promote over all well-being. Please note that we currently only offer relaxation massage – no deep tissue, myofascial, or trigger point therapy.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a system of bodywork that uses acupressure on the feet. An ancient form of therapy, Reflexology has roots in Indian, Chinese, and Egyptian culture, with evidence dating as far back as 4000 BC. The idea of reflexology is that the foot reflects the whole body with a system of reflex points that correspond to organs, glands, muscles, etc. By applying pressure to a specific reflex point, it helps to promote healthy and natural functioning of that area by increasing circulation and energy flow and relieving tension. By combining energy balancing with the point-specific techniques, it also works to balance and restore energy to the whole body by working with the bioenergetic currents of the feet.

Reiki

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a healing technique originating from Japan. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words – Rei, meaning “spiritual” and Ki, meaning “life energy”. It was rediscovered in the mid-1800s by Buddhist monk, Dr. Mikao Usui. The practice of Reiki is based on the principle that the therapist channels energy into the body by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the client’s body. A session involves only light touching or hovering of the practitioner’s hands over the body. Sessions can be used to facilitate physical, emotional, and mental well-being. One of the greatest benefits of Reiki is stress reduction and relaxation, which triggers the body’s natural healing abilities, and improves and maintains health. It can also be used to manipulate the body’s energy field (known in ancient eastern traditions as Ki, Chi, Qi, Prana, etc.) to assist in the healing process occurring from reduced or blocked energy in the body. Because of its non-invasive and gentle nature, Reiki treatments can be used for all conditions.

Ionic Footbaths

The ionic foot bath is a gentle way to promote detoxification of the body. The foot bath machine releases ions into the water, which are absorbed into the body through the feet. These ions energize your cells, thus encouraging them to release oils, acid, fat, heavy metals, and other toxins. The process of eliminating these toxins helps to boost alkalinity, which is essential to good health and well-being. Although we do not make any claims that the foot bath will cure, treat, prevent, or diagnose any condition, many people have claimed that they experience reduced pain, higher energy levels, and relief from allergies, insomnia, and other conditions after a treatment. Ionic foot baths are gentle and safe, but there are a few contraindications to consider. It is not recommended to have a session if you have a pacemaker or any other battery-operated, electrical, or metal implants. Other contraindications include: pregnancy, breast-feeding, organ transplant recipient, and epilepsy. Be advised if you are on dialysis, have diabetes, and/or any other medical condition, you should consult with your physician.

Far Infrared Sauna

Far Infrared Sauna (FIR) therapy is a specialized detoxification technique that promotes the elimination of toxins from the body. Because the heat of a FIR sauna reaches deeper into the tissues than the heat of a traditional sauna, you will sweat more at lower temperatures and release up to 7 times more toxins. It brings toxins into circulation and eliminates them through the bowels and kidneys effectively, as well as through the skin with sweat. There are many health benefits from using the FIR sauna, including detoxification, improved circulation, injury recovery, immune system enhancement, cardiovascular conditioning, pain relief, skin rejuvenation and more!

  • 20-30% of heavy metals stored in fat tissue can be released
  • Increases the healing process and helps with immune system
  • Helps improve chronic skin problems such as eczema, hormonal acne, psoriasis, etc.
  • Up to 600 calories can be burned with a 30-minute treatment
  • Helps with weight loss programs

Contraindications of the FIR Sauna include: dehydration, multiple sclerosis, pregnancy and lactation, recent joint injury, chronically hot and swollen joints or any other tissue, medication with a narrow therapeutic index, hemophilia, and/or predisposition to hemorrhage, unstable hypertension, severe hypotension, superficial metallic implants (i.e. rods, metal pins, artificial joints). If you have any of these conditions, please consult with your doctor before considering the FIR sauna.
